My favourite Christmas memory isn't of one particular Christmas...it's every single one that I got to spend with my dad.
My dad died suddenly a few years ago. There's not a day that goes by when I don't think about him. Now that I'm a mum, I wish that he could have met my lil girl because I know that she would have just loved him and he would have doted on her.
My dad made Christmasses so much fun. He fully took part in Christmas and really made it the most exciting and fun times for myself and my brothers and sister. He truly was the best.
Now that we've got our lil girl, we're going to make sure she has the best Christmas ever - not by giving her lots of presents, but by making sure she spends it surrounded by loved ones.

i was the oldest of six children so have loads of xmas memories, some happy n some quite sad..... we didnt have a big pile of money but our mummy and daddy always managed to pull of an extra special christmas even if it involved a big chicken that we thought was a turkey ;) we always attended midnight mass 1st and then got to open 1 of our presents which always turned out to be new jammies, we would leave out some milk and cookies for santa and of course the carrots for the reindeer, sprinkle the garden with our pre made oats and glitter and then get tucked up warm and snug.... it always took ages for us to sleep, so our poor parents didnt get much sleep any christmas eve. wen we would get up on christmas morning there would be little tiny shoe prints leading up the hall to the sitting room and often a little elf shoe had been left behind by our friend jimmy the elf..... i remember feeling nervous that santa may still be in the house and we would always wake our mummy and daddy to check that the coast was clear!!!! santa would always leave a letter attached to the door to let us no how wonderful we all were and that alone was worth its weight in gold. we always got that 1 special thing that we had hoped 4, even if our parents had to do without a new coat or shoes. im so thankful to them for all they done for us, the made all our christmas' magicial..... now im a mother of five kids under 7 and no how hard it can be to keep up with all the expensive gifts that they would like, so i try to keep the tradations that gave me so much joy, and every year my whole family go to visit santa together all 22 of us :) xxx happy christmas everyone!!!!! xxx

I am very lucky that i have many good Christmas memories but one that stands out in my mind is when me and my sister were little. She desperately wanted this baby bath set. My mum had told her that it was very expensive and that santa probably couldn't afford it. She was very convincing!
So, on Christmas morning there we were opening our presents. i could see this big present that my sister was opening and knew that it was this 'baby bath'

I still remember the look on her face and the squeals that were coming from her as she jumped up and down. My mum had tears in her eyes. i dont think she expected a reaction quite like that ! :-)
Oddly i dont remember what i got that christmas or any other christmas but that memory always sticks in my mind! im sure me and my sister had many fun hours playing with that baby bath.

What a lovely competition. My favourite Christmas tradition used to be leaving out a trainor sock as a tiny stocking for my favourite teddy when I was wee! He always had something in it on Christmas morning from Santa - usually a chocolate! When I say "wee" I did this right up till I was a teenager!!!

The site is looking great- keep up the good work!
My wee rascal is 16 months and has no patience at all so something like this would be ideal for me rather than putting his pram/pushchair together while he waits (or squeals and points as it usually is!). It really would be one less headache in a day!

This is a great looking site - keep up the good work. I agree with you, its a shame that such an important issue is being dropped from the public arena. Breastfeeding is essential to growing healthy families and building strong nations. Difinitly not a topic to sweep under the carpet!

hi claire don't be worried yes your right when number two arrives they turn the whole place upside down and it looks like the first time was a piece of cake. On the bright side though you become much quicker at reading the signs so your not going down the list of feeding, changing or winding just to stop the crying!! best of luck look forward to hear what you have.

Well done you!! That is brilliant, see there are people outside your vacuum who appreciate all those hours you put in.
Please eat the biscuit! You deserve it. Maybe take a pic of it and put that on your memo board. A biscuit on the memo board may have the midwife querying your sanity ;) Em xx
