Drum roll please….
…I got my first ever blog award! The very lovely Jen at Jen’s Rantings somehow found time in the midst of all the chaos having a newborn around the house brings, and passed on a ‘Lovely Blog Award’ to me!
According to a song I remember from the dim and distant days of primary school, ‘Love is something if you give it away’, I am going to pass it on to another blog sometime soon – but not just yet. I’m going to keep it for myself awhile first! Thanks Jen 
P.S. As I type, a trailer for the new ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ film is on the TV. Big kid that I am, I can hardly contain myself! Even the Hubber with his weird cinema aversion won’t try to wriggle out of seeing that one, yipee!

Hello! I’m Claire and welcome to MumUnplugged! I started this blog in 2008 following the birth of my son; I was bored on maternity leave from my job as a magazine editor, and besides feeling a pathological urge to just write something, I wanted to put my own experiences as a first time mum out there for others to share. I’m just a normal mum like any other – I have good days and bad days, days when I feel confident in my ability to raise this little human I created and others when I wonder why on earth I ever thought I could handle it!
