Look who’s talking….

Ok shameless proud Mummy moment coming up, if you’re squeamish look away now….Bubs can say Da-da!!! He has been playing around with ‘d’ noises for a day or two now so I knew it was coming but that doesn’t make it any less cute. He is of course most pleased with his clever self and thinks this new noise is great craic, so any time he can’t think of anything better to do he just sits there going da-da-da-da-da over and over again which is hilarious. And also the Hubber is feeling rather smug that he said Da-da and not Ma-ma first, which to be honest I thought would make me jealous but it doesn’t at all, I just can’t get over the fact that he can say it! Add this to the fact that he learned to clap his hands this week and I am convinced Bubs is a genius, just like his Mummy ;)

Hello! I’m Claire and welcome to MumUnplugged! I started this blog in 2008 following the birth of my son; I was bored on maternity leave from my job as a magazine editor, and besides feeling a pathological urge to just write something, I wanted to put my own experiences as a first time mum out there for others to share. I’m just a normal mum like any other – I have good days and bad days, days when I feel confident in my ability to raise this little human I created and others when I wonder why on earth I ever thought I could handle it! The most important thing I’ve learned from becoming a mum is that there’s nothing like advice from other mums who’ve been in your shoes – and I hope that by reading my experiences and those of others, visitors to MumUnplugged will find inspiration, advice and support for their journey through motherhood. Through my career in publishing I’ve also developed a passion for trend-spotting and tracking down the latest products so you’ll also find lots of news, reviews, fashion, topical features and much more.     aww poop. Another awesome nephew moment missed! I've an A&G get together this weekend too- so not see the wee man for another week or so. You not get some video posted up on this blog? P.s. If dada is first then I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool was second..

    Ha ha no the next one better be mama or he can find some other idiot to get up with him in the night lol! Can’t get video up because our camcorder isn’t Mac compatible…Sony are behind the times. If I get a chance I’ll record it on my mobile though and text you.
